I have the same problem. After trying to create the character
I have been waiting for long long time and nothing happens -
my character doesn't show up, I can't enter the world.

I patched my EQ on Friday, because otherwise it doesn't run at
all (fresh install is broken). This is on winXP home

Any hints?
