problem _after_ successful patching

first of all i want to say that i used the search function :>
ok here my problem:
after i installed eq classic i patched with ur eqemu patch proggie (first i had to install several windows update etc.)
but after i had patched the game it crashed when i clicked on accept. (at the license screen)
before i iinstalled ur patch it doesnt.
i have already installed new detonators and looked at some config files in the eq dir.... nothing helped 8[
ehm iam on win2k with newest updates and the other shit that u need for the patch *g
sry for my bad english and thx in advance
P.S it say something about access violation and "cant read" memory.....
P.P.S some1 ever tested eq on a nix box under wine oder winex?
maybe thats my next solution :>

//edit: is there any other possibility getting the right patch without using ur proggie?
