What does this mean specifically?
That minilogin won't work with .5.0?

That minilogin won't work with .5.0 and there won't be an updated minilogin to work with .5.0?
I ask because amidst a million other reasons why minilogin is useful, I'd like to be able to work offline yet let some folks on to help build up the world without a bunch of peeps coming on prematurely from the public login server.
Minilogin was handling this just fine. So what, is minilogin now toast?
