Password probs

Hello, I havent played EQemu in a while. If i remember correctly forum PW and game PW are the same...
Not being able to remember mine, i used the "forgot password" link in forums to email myself a new one. I then changed it to something i will remember, however that PW does not work on the game login, any ideas on what im doing wrong?

Sounds like you forgot to update you hosts file and are connecting to the ssony servers still

click start, find windows explorer, left click it to open it
open the drive that has eq in it, find your eq folder
click on a file in the folder and press the E button on your keyboard to jump to the e's, find the file named eqhost.txt
click it two times fast enough to open it, if you cant do that, right it and click open
replace whats there with:
[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5997"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5997"
}

OR
if thats too hard
click start, open search thing
type in eqhost.txt
double click on the file that appears when it searches (there should only be 1 unless you installed eq in more than 1 place)
delete everything in the file and replace it with:
[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5997"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5997"
}


*EDIT* Merth: Put in new 5997 port, assuming everyone reading this has the latest EQLive patch. These are good instructions!
