I am having fun again - BUT....

Wow, I am sure glad I came across this EQemu.

With the semi-legit and GM servers, I can see myself having fun again in EQ. No more having to socialize my arse off to get people to help equip me. #SI whatever I need. MUCH LUV to you guys.

My question:
I do have one bit of a weird and tech problem. I made a mage on D'hi (sp) semi-legit server... and well I got him to level 10. I tried to kill the bards in ECommon... heh and was shown the error of my way. Anyways, my problem is Death-loop everytime I select my mage. What do I do? Help please, thanks.

I'm not sure of the commands that are available on that server but you might try creating a new character, log him in and #movechar <charname> <zone> If you can do that, it will move the character that you specify to the zone that you want... Not sure if it will help but it's worth a shot

Most death-loops, are caused from puting on armor that is bugged ect...

Thanks for the #movechar tip, I will try that when I head home for lunch.

For bit of info when I deathloop. I will spawn and get full hp/manna. I can move,type for about one second.... Then a message shows up and says similar to this "you have been hit with a (something) spell", "you are unconcious", "you are dead" LOADING...

Yeah, that sounds like it might be equipment.... probably need to talk whoever runs the server or a gm and see about getting whatever piece of equipment it is deleted...... I thought maybe you were falling to your death which has happened to me before and I think can be fixed by #movechar

Well, I am at home. I tried that #movechar to west freeport...

unfortunately, I still loopdeath.

The extact message I get says
"you feel bogus as an unknown spell accost you." you died.

Equipment bugged, eh? hmmmm okie will get ahold of hoster when I have more time. Thanks all for response.

sounds like ya used the spell metamorphisis(?) as soon as you log in target yourself and #nukebuffs..should clear it up

hmmm actually no I didnt cast Metamorp... i am a mage. However, while I was getting wacked by the bards, I was trying to drink the instant gate potion, "Drink In Case of Emergency" to no avail. So maybe that did it?

so bugged equipment are a No-No... which I gotta ask... how do you know an item is bugged?

GUess I can always restart a new mage... it just took me longer to equip myself then actually leveling

but it was FUN!

Not bugged armour, just if it goes above a certain value (37767 or something) your HP goes negative, so you die.

I would restart your character.

You can usually tell the equipment that will kill you, all the numbers are in red when you look at the item....
