How do you know these 'viruses' and registry theft programs came with Dev-C++ ?

I use Dev-C++ and can attest that what you are saying is false, having scanned my system with an up-to-date virus scanner and Spybot and AdAware. I also read the Dev-C++ forums and am sure this would have been mentioned there if what you claim is true.

Now, if you downloaded Dev-C++ from a p2p file sharing network or some random web site, then there is a chance your copy may have been 'doctored', but that is true of anything you download. If you download from the official site (www.bloodshed.net), or any of the official mirrors you will be fine.

It annoys me that you should slur the name of a great program with what I am sure are baseless claims.
