eqgame.exe crashes when i try to log in.

haven't been able to get into eqemu for quite some time now. trying with eqgame.exe method as well as eqwindows. seems to alternate between windows error report screen and just closing program with no explaination.

i did make sure that patchme was typed in after the target txt. getting the xp/smitchell login after 5995 in eqhost.txt, hope that's....normal :P

any help would be appreciated.

seem to have fixed the crashing on my own making eqhost read only, but now all i get is "Logging into servers, please wait"....

seems like i fix one problem only to be faced with another. any thoughts?

i think i get it now. i patched after june 22, so my eqmain.dll file won't work, and that the only way to fix it is to get a pre june 22 .dll file.

i also understand that i can't ask for it.

did i mention my email address is Imsoaskingforit@Waitingforafatban.com? :P

You'd better edit your post because thats a blatant ask for the file and against the rules. And the rules apply to Private Messages as much as they do to posts, don't send me and everybody else spam asking for the file.

Asking someone if they have the last version of the dll is a blatant ask for them to send you the file, stop trying to be cute with words and stop posting stuff like this before you get banned for going against the forum rules. And I'm not trying to be board police or cause troule, I originally jsut posted a helpful thing saying you should edit your post so you wouldn't get banned then you try to cause trouble by dancing around the rules, well guess what, people here go by the spirit of the urles, not the letter and enforce them well to cover the project from being sued by Sony. They probably couldn't win a lawsuit, but with even the slightest evidince they could make it too much lawyer's fees for us to continue if they decided to.

i never asked a single person to send me the file. there's nothing wrong with asking if someone has a file saved on their computer.

however i DO see at least three threads FULL of people blatantly asking for the file. why don't you go bother them?

erzengelb, he is totally correct. That was asking for the files in an indirect way. Now, instead of telling a Mild Poster, who has many posts on the boards, to shut up, why don't you take your own advice.

You just joined today, and already your causing trouble. You don't want a bad rep early on, because it will stay with ya forever, no one on these boards forgets these kind of things.
