Default Classic EQ

I've just begun to look around the forums here and plan on doing alot more.

My interest is trying to build a server that is as close as possible like the classic Zek servers. I haven't thought much about what style of pvp would be best, but that is in the makeing. A good friend who is more interested in this project than me has the hardware to run the server, and it should be fast.

Im trying not to get too far ahead of myself, and looking at all possibilies. My main concern is the ability to convert the world back into the classic zones, character models, spell effects. I've done a bit of searching on the forums and didn't find much.

Thanks for the respose.

For make that, you don't find a magic wand on the forum.
You need to learn how eqemu and his database work and when you understand
that, you can make easily your classic server.

You will need to edit the spell files and distribute it to everyone who is going to play on the server.

everything else you want to do will require hefty perl, C+ and SQL knowlage, and about a year + work.
