Default Server connection issues outside of lan.

Managed to get a server up and running but am having issues with other people joining the server. I can get other accounts to join on my network but not over the internet. I have turned off my modems firewall, opened ports, 5998, 5999, 1400-1500, and 9000 for fun but still no luck. The logs dont even display him connecting to the server. On his end it says, "cant login to server, may need to re run update patch, may be connectivity issue, etc" Any ideas?

Probably need to post your server config file and detail what login server method you're using.

Well we decided to run the server on a different machine and got it working but we are having a different issue. For some reason we cannot set GM status for our characters. We are changing the status field in the accounts table to 250, but when the character tries to connect to the server, the world server creates a duplicate id and because of that it boots the player. Ideas?
