Default Anniversary Edition

So I know it was asked in the passed and the only post I could find, was one from 2007. So my question is with the new move to SoD will the Anniversary Edition work with the Emu? And if so whats preventing this from working? Isnt it the same as SoD expansion(meaning everything except Underfoot)?

Thank You.

Anniversary edition? That's an old edition from years ago. No, it will not work.

unless there was ANOTHER anniversary edition, this one only goes up to Buried Sea - which means it one less than SoF

there is also EverQuest: The 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition

which is a whole different beast all together =)

Every version/expansion of EQ is different and requires a good amount of work to get them functional with EQEmu. It probably wouldn't be too hard to get Anniversary basically working at this point, but it is more work than it would be worth since we already have better and newer clients that are compatible with it. No need to go backwards, really.
