Default map help please

I downloaded the map.tar.gz file and placed it in the eqemu/maps directory, but I still cannot initiate combat - i get "Target not in range" message. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to unzip it or something?

Please help.

Thank you

Jieseng

Default Maps unzipped, but still problem...

I unzipped the maps.tar.gz file into eqemu\maps however, i still cannot attack once a mob is targeted. Did I place them in the correct folder?

Thank you,

Jieseng

Hello ensure that you unzipped them to
\eqemu\maps

sometimes if you select that folder they will go to

\eqemu\maps\maps - if this is the case just cut the maps and paste them in the correct directory

if ya have trouble with it type this at the command prompt

move c:\eqemu\maps\maps\*.* c:\eqemu\maps

this might be an issue with your binaries.. try different ones, or build the newest cvs. chances are good that if you move around and use #loc, you'll see that the server thinks your not moving.

Default new binaries?

I hate to be ignorant, but what is/are the names of the binary files I should try? I am not familiar with cvs. Should I use the 6.3 binaries with minilogin 6.2?

I am really impressed with the eq emu work, and wish I knew enough at this point to contribute.

Thank you.

Default 6.3

I downloaded and installed 6.3 binaries (the whole zip file) into my EQEMU directory. I ran minilogin and all seems to load fine, but no mobs spawn upon login. My pet logged in and followed me around, but the zones were all barren. Any clue how to fix this issue?

Thank you,

Jieseng

Check out my post in this forum, the one with the code, it will update your database to be compatable with eqemu 6.3.

Default thank you

Many thanks hurtinu! It works better now. Zones are populated, targeting/attack work in both minilogin and public servers.
