Default GM Tool

Sup everyone, i was just thinking about a Tool i used to use a few years ago probably it was a program that you ran that i was told was the same tool that GMs run and use on live. This program opened in a normal window, and it had about 50 tabs on the top of it everythign you can think of was there from petitions to looking up any item by name and it would give you its item number so you could summon it. Anyone know what im tlaking about of have you seen it floating around some were id like to get another copy of it, it owned !

EQ Admin possibly? I don't think that it would work with the latest database structure.

I believe you are talking about EQAdmin Tool. This would partially work with the 6.0 build which is missing many of the new updates and lots of new cool things but I'm 100% certain that the EQAdmin Tool will not work whatsoever with the new EQEmu builds past 6.0.

A good Emu editing tool hasn't really been released yet for the 6.1+ builds. Your best bet is just using a tool like MySQL-Front of Navicat (Navicat is a terrific editing tool but only comes with a 30 day trial. http://www.navicat.com/)

Yeah, EQAdmin is designed for up to 0.5.8. I've been playing with it over the past couple of weeks to try to fix some of its problems (like the crashes when dealing with loot tables), but I haven't tested it with anything newer.

Windcatcher, I would kiss you if you got EQAdmin working with the latest db. EQAdmin was the best tool hands down for everything to do with EQEmu.

It probably wouldn't be hard to get it working with 6.1, but I'm concerned about backwards compatibility with 0.5.5 and 0.5.8 (which I need). I just did a test with a 0.6.1 database and everything was ok except for players, items, and tradeskill recipes.

That is cool because I mainly used it for a spawn placement tool. Item Editing would be nice but not needed for what I am doing.

If I knew enough about Delphi I would look at the code and work on it myself but at my old age I tend to loose memory rather than retain it.
