Server Select Screen Crash

I followed the guide for setting up eqemu on one's pc so I could play and everything works fine up to the server select screen. When I get there, choose my server and click "play EverQuest" the task manager says EverQuest (Eqemu) is "Not Responding". Although, it doesn't completely freeze because I can still move my cursor, just can't get into the loading screen. Any ideas?

P.S. The solution to this problem has probably already been posted somewhere. If so, my apologies.
