Default EQemu launch problem

I followed everything from this tutorial, which I found to be quite informative, but I've run into a bit of a snag.
http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...indowsServer70

When I start up eqemu I get three windows that open.

The first says:

C:\eqemu\world.exe

[Status] Using database 'peq' at localhost:3306
[Status] EMuShareMem loaded
[Status] Loading items from database: count =54535

The second window says:

0 Server(s), 0 Clients(s) Connected

LoginServer.ini read.
[Status] Loading opcodes . .
Server mode: MiniLogin
Login server listening on port:5999

The third window says:

C:\eqemu\eqlaunch.exe

[Debug] Starting Log: logs/eqemu_debug_3696.log
[Debug] [LAUNCHER_INIT] Loading server configuration . .

And thats where it stays at, nothing else happens.

Default Weird

Ok, this is going to seem weird.
I started up eqemu again and now it says new server connection. So I then double-clicked on the button below eqemu on my desktop called "Run Everquest". So I clicked on that, and then entered my password and login name of "eq", "eq", and was able to get into the servers screen and saw my server, but it was listed as "Locked", and i'm unable to connect to it, strange. Does anyone have any idea why my newly created server is locked and how I can get in it?

Ok in the tutorial where it says "Server Configuration", there's a section there about server status, and although it says that the default is unlocked, then why is my server always reading as "Locked"? And I can't figure out how to change it to unlocked. Can anyone help with this, I feel that i'm close to figuring this out.

<locked/> and <unlocked/>
<world>
<!-- Server status. Default is unlocked -->
<!--<locked/>-->
<!-- <unlocked/> -->
</world>

You can probably figure these out for yourself. Left for an excercise for the reader (thats you).

I think your problem is to make sure that you go back to the mysql command step and redo it. If when you use MySQLCC and cannot open your DB this is usually the prob. Lots of people, inclusing myself forget to give ourselves access to the db.

The server is unlocked by default. So unless you make it change in the config.xml I doubt you changed it. Ermmm locked servers mean that the world and zone launchers are still loading. So nobody can enter.

This is all that my eqlauncher says when the window pops up:

[Debug] Starting Log: logs/eqemu_debug_0692.log
[Debug] [LAUNCHER_INIT] Loading server configuration . .

It Never goes any farther than that. Could this be the problem?

For the Locked thing you have seen on the server select yes, but did you do that check I asked you to look at? If you followed the 7.0 tutorial you should have MySQLCC and try to open that database.

I did everything correct with MySQLCC.
I went into "databases", "peq", "tables", and double-clicked on "account" and then I inserted under "name" player, and than tabbed over to "password" and put in eq, and tabbed over to "status" and put in 250, and then I finally tabbed over to "minilogin_ip" and put in 127.0.0.1

Then thats all it says to do.

Default Think I found problem

I think my problem lies within the file "eqemu_config.xml". Here is what mine looks like, and i'm not sure how it's supposed to look exactly.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0">
<server>
        <world>
                <shortname>minilogin</shortname>
                <longname>My Minilogin</longname>

                <!-- Only specify these two if you really think you need to. -->
		<address>127.0.0.1</address>
		<localaddress>127.0.0.1</localaddress>

		<!-- Loginserver information. -->
        <loginserver>
		<host>127.0.0.1</host>
		<port>5999</port>
		<account></account>
		<password></password>
        </loginserver>

		<!-- Server status. -->

Disregard above post, I believe this is the way my "eqemu_config.xml" is supposed to look, can someone please confirm this. Because even after i've done the MySQL step of the 0.7 tutorial, I still can't get "world.exe" and "eqlauncher" to fully load, most upsetting.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0">
<server>
        <world>
                <shortname>minilogin</shortname>
                <longname>My Minilogin</longname>

                <!-- Only specify these two if you really think you need to. -->
		<address>127.0.0.1</address>
		<localaddress>127.0.0.1</localaddress>

		<!-- Loginserver information.  -->
        <loginserver>
		<host>127.0.0.1</host>
		<port>5999</port>
		<account></account>
		<password></password>
        </loginserver>

                <!-- Sets the shared key used by zone/launcher to connect to world -->
                <key>some long random string</key>

                <!-- Enable and set the port for the HTTP service. -->
                <http port="9080" enabled="true" mimefile="mime.types" />
        </world>

                <!-- Database configuration, replaces db.ini. -->
        <database>
                <host>localhost</host>
                <port>3306</port>
                <username>eq</username>
                <password>eq</password>
                <db>peq</db>
        </database>
</server>

On this part, am I supposed to enter this in exactly like it is written? And am I supposed to do this step, as well as the one I have to do with MySQLCC afterwards?

Finishing Touches
Now it's time to finish up the installation. You just have to run a few sql commands and you will be ready to roll. If you used the PEQ databases, Click on "Start" then "Run" and type in "C:\mysql\bin\mysql -u root peq". Now type in " GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON peq.* TO eq@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'eq' WITH GRANT OPTION; " If you used cavedude's database, replace "peq" with "eq".
And after this step, I only get a message that says, "Query OK, 0 rows effected" is it supposed to say that?

Default Crud

So far, i've done this tutorial 3 times, and it's always the same result, I can't seem to log on to my server because it always says "locked" on it. :(

As you stated above have you entered the commands properly?

Click "Start" then "run" then type:
Code:
C:\mysql\bin\mysql -u root peq
after that type:
Code:
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON peq.* TO eq@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'eq' WITH GRANT OPTION;
You should not need to add the 'mini'/'mini' user/password if you used Cavedude's installer as it does it for you.

But after I do that, it just says "Query OK, 0 rows affected" or something like that. Is it supposed to say that?
