Default Paradigma (legit, custom, PvP)

We finally made it and moved our site to http://www.eqemu-paradigma.de .

Short server info:
- The server and the site is early beta atm so expect a few bugs
- Downtimes should be less than 30 min a day (last 2 weeks around 5 min a day)
- PvP is enabled
- Antonica + Kunark + Velious zones are populated
- World will be customized

We finally finished the planning of the server and got the most important parts already working...

Features:
- a modified conquest system of the gw server
- binding will only be possible outside towns if the guild has the zone control
- zone control means all locations at a zone are held by the same guild
- dungeons connected to the zone which is controlled will have a few bindspots too for the guild
- some locations will add money, and offer a tax system
- spezial merchants or npcs can be spawned at locations
- the guild controlling a spot is also responsible for the movement of their purchased npcs
- players will get an offensive bonus for owning locations the max is at 15%
- guildhouses, player housing and renting a room is possible too
- npc leaded guilds for peoples who don't like grouping
- those npc guilds will provide special items for task missions
- missions will also involve players (like killing a certain player or delivering something to a player)
- npc guilds own locations like regular guilds
- players can become officers at those guilds
- players will become faction hits if they kill a npc or player of another guild
- merchants will be a playable class
- they will have the possibility to master all tradeskills
- and create camps .. a camp is a place adding bonus stats to a grp/raid/guild/everyone (depending on the camp) inside a certain range
- there will be a few different ones and only the small and medium adventurer camp can be placed by everyone
- some camps will offer tradeskilling items (like forges etc) and storage containers
- merchants will be able to open a store inside a town or if they build a special camp even outside
- level range will be 1 - 65 including aas and some special skill which can be obtained
- a statistic page will be available for pve and pvp
- guilds will be able to form alliances
- the world will be limited to antonica (this means no pok)
- peoples above level 9 can pvp ..
- killing green players at pvp will cause a small exp loss
- if a green player attacks someone out of range he will get flagged and from that moment on everyone will be able to attack him without xp loss (we are still thinking about how long this flag will stay ..)
- there will be npcs for hire ... (will act like pets)
- if we find someone who is able to do it we will enable a few functions to be played via the browser ... like controlling the locations, guilds and so on
- we got a few more ideas on the backhand which we are still trying to get running but more about these later when we got it working


The base is already working but there is still a lot of work to do (especially at world design and at the browser part of the game) so don't expect the server the next few month. Those peoples who already have a level 20+ char at the server will be able to keep playing at the server. All other chars will get moved to the tutorial. The tutorial is already locked this means you can play there but u won't be able to leave it. We will release the sourcecode the day we make the server public.

sorry but i forgot a few important features:

- craftable traps that can be placed by everyone
- there will be a few kind of traps.. basic traps just doing melee dmg, casting traps .. casters will be able to build casting traps with attack/debuff spells up to their lvl, beast traps release mobs out of a cage after they are triggered and of course the alarm traps which send a more or less loud warning
- the character generation is in game so it doesn't matter what you create in the character generation screen since it will be changed anyway..
- message board revival! if you want to send an offline player a message or get ur messages take a look at the message boards
- the whole world will have customized content and zones
- there will be a few kind of titles (pve and pvp ones) you can attain by killing players/npcs, doing missions or questing for them. a command will show you which titles can be enabled for the char.
