Default MySQL 5.0 Error?

Hello all,

Trying to get MySQL 5.0 installed and running and when I get to the final step of the install wizard and click the execute button when it gets to start service i get a red x and a message which reads "Could not start the MySQL. Error:0" I have tried to uninstall it and run thru the set up a few times and each time i get he same message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated in fixing this issue

A simple Google for "Could not start the MySQL. Error:0" brings up a whole lot of help, including:

If it's MySql windoze, then it usually installs without a password , so you can login from localmachine under root;
"mysql -u root peq"
for Linux you to know the root password;
"mysql -uroot -pwhatever -Dpeq"
"mysql --help" gives you the full list
