Wind, hows the progress going? This looks encredible, it truely does.
One few quick questions/assumptions:
Since this is going to be an OS client, I am assuming the datastream between client & server will be unencrypted?
Following, does that mean that a personal login server could also be coded?
Lastly, just a word of caution: I know you are a super smart guy, so this may have crossed your mind already, but you might want to be careful how closely you mimic the real EQ client. People/projects have had lawsuits brought against them for violations of 'look, feel, functionality and spirit'... aka MS Vs Apple back in the 80's being the most prominent in my mind. The last thing I would want to see is an encredible project like yours get smacked around by a few shirt'n'ties....
