When does it crash? What are you doing (or what is it doing) when it crashes?

I tend to agree. On my fx6831 gateway vista dual core laptop I had crashes when eqgame.exe ran. Turns out the video card driver needed to be upgraded, and single core fix needs to be done, run as admin and set compat to XP SP2.

Try that.
