Default UWE Questions

Ok well i did alot of digging in the forums and found your universal world editor i can import the zone ok but none of the meshes show up i was wondering if this is a compatability issue witht he latest open zone or what not i followed the pdf but it didnt seem to help the ground is there but none of the objects even though all the meshes show in the objects pane in oz

I believe the problem is that OZ requires .3DS textured meshes. I'll try to convert a few to see if it works.

Yeah, the meshes would have to exist in OpenZone's mesh library. The only way to get them into there is to import them as .3DS files directly into the mesh library (OpenZone has a command to do this).

but the textures also need to be fixed the filenames are too big for 3ds format theyhave to be less then 8 characters or it truncates them

I've converted them from .x to .3ds and the program auto makes the correct length bmp file name. I'll upload the uwe zip with modified textures.
