Default Connecting to a Patch Server

Hello,

Should you ever see a message saying that you are connecting to a patch server?

I had been playing EQemu for several days without ever seeing that message. I decited to install EQWatcher Evolution (a log parser) and the first time I ran EQemu, I got some messeage about connection to a patch server. Since I did not think that was correct for EQemu, I killed the program, worried that it was going to patch my Everquest Titanium and that I would have to reinstall. But when I ran EQemu again all was OK.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might have been?

Most likely, that was the program's patcher, not the EQ patcher. If it was the EQ patcher, it would say SOE on it somewhere.
