Default Another Server to EQgame.exe Crash

UPLOADED PICTURE OF IT

Okay, I've tried just about everything on a WINDOWS XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3.

I got the game finally running after hours of tinkering, then, with a feeling of accomplishment I went to log onto Project 1999's server. I was visited by a nice black box that covered half of my screen. Then this lovely error message pops up and says "EQgame.exe has had problems, blah blah."

If you know the quick easy fix to this please tell me or is this another type of SSSE.

I understand this is suppose to be simple, not as simple as tying your shoe laces but still, I've done everything and everything I could find. If you know of a post that will be my holy grail please point in the right direction. I will be forever grateful, and you will feel joy.

Thanks, PocketSock.

Have you perused the forums for Project 1999 for an answer? They'd have a better chance to give you server-specific fixes.

Aye I didn't post there yet, but it doesn't work on any server. I did everything project 1999 said as well. If I can't get this to work I will go bankrupt sell my house, and move south.

Change your desktop resolution to 1024x768 or 1280x1024 then run the game. Once you've gotten it to work once you can change your desktop resolution back.

Changeing the resolution didn't work. My picture shows the error and the black box.

Have you tried starting it in windowed mode ?

Set:

WindowedMode=TRUE

in the [Defaults] section of eqclient.ini

I can't seem to find WindowedMode=False

Are you sure it's in the eqclient.ini

I did a search after scrolling and still can't seem to find it. Could the .ini file be corrupt I installed it from my old CDs.

What version of the game are you running again? There are only a few clients supported... Titanium, SoF, SoD and Underfoot?

Afraid I'll have to pass on this one.... I'm sure someone will cruise by with a drive-by debugging sooner or later.
