Default Problem logging in with SoF client

Did a clean (legal) install and every time I try to log in to a server, the client crashes and I get a UI error message.

From my UIerror log file

Not really sure what any of that means, exactly. Am I missing something somehow?

Double check your shortcut properties and make sure your Start in field is showing your EQ directory.

Tried making a new shortcut just in case and same thing. Tried to connect to a server and screen went black then got the error message.

This baffles me, as I'm able to run the live client just fine.

This is an SoF client installed directly from the SoF DVD-ROMs, right?

An ISO. I digitally downloaded SOF last year so I had no physical discs.

Anyone got any suggestions or do I have to go back to titanium?

Appear to have fixed the problem atleast for myself. Removed SoF then manually deleted anything resembling eq completely. Reinstalled in a completely new directory and all appears to now work. Looks like something left over from titanium was buggering things up.

Default Same Issue - from SoF DVD ROMs

I am having the exact same problem. I did a clean install from SoF (from DVD Roms). I did not ever install Titanium - just straight from SoF. I uninstalled and reinstalled - following the guide. Any resolution?
I appreciate your help - I can't wait to get started

Default Uninstalled, deleted, reinstalled - still no luck

I uninstalled SoF, deleted all the folders from the original install, then reinstalled in a totally new directory on my c: drive. I continue to get the same UIErrors (all listed above). I am installing directly from DVD-ROM. I have also read / searched the forums but can't seem to find anything that helps.
Any assistance is appreciated

P1999 is one of the only servers that doesn't support any clients after Titanium. You should be able to play fine on most other servers with it like PEQ or Storm Haven. If your issue only happens on P99, then your SoF install is fine, though you will need to get Titanium to play there.
