Default Im new to EMU, and im stuck at this part...Ive done everything correctly!

Ok so im new to this EMU server thing, giving it a shot as EQ Live has seem to have only gotten worse.

I got the download from the link listed below

http://store.steampowered.com/app/24130/

Which came from :

http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...akka=PlayGuide

..............................................

Followed alll driections I do not patch and I enter LS SN/PW and it stays at this window that says "Logging in to the server. Please wait....

Any sugguestions on how to help me get behond this point and into the game?

First issue is to download a copy of EQ that is supported. That download you got is actually Underfoot, not SoD. Uninstall the version you have and install the real SoD version, then try to login again, then post back here.

Someone should have a link, I would send it but I'm not exactly at home .

Underfoot is very much supported atm, almost as well as SoD. The issue lies elsewhere.

Well this is the last I had heard about it:

But, that client still isn't fully supported, so I wouldn't really recommend it. I am kinda hoping that they release a download for House of Thule that is maybe more complete than their Underfoot download that is missing a couple of files.
If something has changed I wouldn't know.

If only there was a thread tracking the development or a way to track recent changes to the source code.

Did you change the opcodes for the Login section? SoD and higher require the opcodes to change. I have Underfoot and had the same thing happen till I changed the opcodes.

OP_PlayEverquestResponse=0x0022 (21 for SoF or lower)
OP_ChatMessage=0x0017 (16 for SoF or lower)
OP_LoginAccepted=0x0018 (17 for SoF or lower)
OP_ServerListResponse=0x0019 (18 for SoF or lower)
