User/ pw not valid

I am trying to log in with a new LS account and it is saying "pw or user incorrect/ not valid" I have read the FAQ and tried changing pw. My other account loads fine. I even tried making a 2nd set with a different email to eliminate that possibility, but ended up with same result. Here is what I did:

1 Create user eqemu
2 Entered reg #
3 Created profile
4 Validated from email sent to me
5 Created LS accounts
6 Try to log in - no good

Did I miss a step?

If your password is really long, it might be getting truncated (as mentioned in the FAQ in my sig). Try setting one that is 6 chars long and see if that works.
