Default getting started

I have followed the instructions given to me however there are problems, the part where it says

1.) Go to Run Type in "%HOMEDRIVE%Program FilesSonyEverQuesteqhost.txt"
Without the Quotes

i get an error message

I also used the "patchme -w" on the end of my shortcut, and it still takes me through the regular EQpatcher... (I used to play EQ years ago and used the patchme command on the shortcut without the -w on it and it worked the EQwin just fine)

can someone help me get started i REALLY want to play

Thanks
Jim

I don't know which guide you used, but this is the one you should be using:

If you're using Vista or Windows 7 and you want to save yourself some hassle, move the EQ directory somewhere other than Program Files, like C:\EQ.
