Some newb questions.

Hi all, hoping someone can help me out here.

In case it can help with any of my questions, i'm running the game on Win 7.

Anyways...

1)
How do you talk to NPCs? left click only seems to highlight it, right click "Considers" them, is there something else i'm missing? right click seems to open merchant inventories, but i've tried talking to quest NPCs and i can't seem to get anything from them.

2)
The game is awefully...quiet. I've messed around with the sound options and volume sliders, but the only thing i get is sound effects which are fine and music when i open the training window from class trainers and merchant inventories, otherwise there's no music at all. Is this normal?

I might have some more questions later on, but for now i'm hoping someone can help me out with these two.

1) did you try hailing them (press "H" when you are near)

2) I think that's normal...do you get music when you start combat? Or try entering the bank in North Freeport, there's a little blurb of music there last time I checked.
