Upgrading PEQ Database

Hi Guys,

I want to upgrade my PEQ database to the latest.

I read somewhere I need to "backup" my database first? (save my characters and bots)

Like:
mysqldump -R -uroot -p****** peq > l:\peq_backup.sql

Could someone please explain step by step what SQL commands I need to run? (my database is called "peq")

Unless you run custom content, there is no real reason to backup the database.
