Default True Classic private server.

Hey everyone. I've searched the forums for a couple of days looking for a true answer to my question, but haven't been able to find one.

I was wondering if it was possible to make a true pre-kunark or Kunark classic server. It would be a private server for 1 or 2 friends and I. I actually still have my pre-kunark EQ disc and my friend has his Kunark and Velious discs.

Is it possible to get a private server up and running with these? I just get a hankerin' sometimes. Thanks.

There are some limitations. First, only the following clients are compatible with EQEmu:

You can use the database from PEQ or AX Classic and set your variables table field for the allowed expansions you want to enable. Even then, to make a true classic server, you will most likely need to make your own manual changes to your database to make everything the way you might expect it to be. Most of the work should already be done for you in the existing databases, but some things may be enabled from later expansions that you may want to disable. That is all up to you though.

What Trevius said basically, but the amount of changes that would be required to make the existing database "Classic" is enormous. Then if you wanted to get into further detail and create the true experience you'd need to do client, zone, quest, and UI changes.

Not really worth it.
