Default Weapon Procs when attack misses?

I was surprised to see that weapon procs are checked even for attacks that miss. I never paid any attention to this on live, so the attack code may very well be correct. But I would really like to know if this is the way it is supposed to be.

(I'm referring to near the end of NPC::Attack in attack.cpp)

yes indeed, since ancient times
this is why casters LOVED weapons that proced lifetap/high dmg spells even if they were missing on every swing
The Orb that proced 425 dmg DD comes to mind (forgot the name)

Thanks for clearing that up.

By the way, I see that a mod has moved this to the Windows forum. I have no clue what the criteria for posting in each forum is. Perhaps in the future I can save them time and post everything in the Windows forum (even though I don't run a Windows server).

Technically it's general support, but I'm not a mod so I have no say.
