Default Bots and KOS

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can provide some insight as to the reasons bots are designed non-KOS. Obviously this (non-KOS) leads to some potential exploits so I assume there are some solid reasons that this decision was made?

Mostly so you can't park your bots in an area and afk, having them kill mobs while you sleep, etc.

To the OP

you can't keep a thief out with locks. But putting locks on your doors just helps keep honest people honest.

alot of people are prone to commit crimes of convenience.

if your favourite vending machine randomly gave you a second cola, would you report it and try and pay for it? or enjoy it, thinking oh its just once in a while?

how about the capital offense of j-walking across the street??!?! I'm sure many of us are guilty of this heinous crime, because it was convenient for us to do it!
