Speaking of which this is worth sharing warhammer online finally has private servers that appear reasonably functional. This directly relates with this thread title too because the game was abandoned by EA and left for dead, but the emulator community is keeping it alive. It was actually a fairly good MMO as well truth be told I loved the way it handled raid content keeping it more tight knit and formal yet strategic.

Where the MMO went wrong is they should have made it 3 sided RVR like DAOC and they just failed to release a expansion which is absurd considering lesser qualities MMO's have released numerous ones.
