Default Issue with creating local loginserver

I have been reading these forums trying to setup up a local server. I am at a deployed location and about to move to another site here in a few days and will not have much internet access. I want to be able to play EQ offline. No choice on that, what little internet I will have will block all gaming sites, most likely this forum also. I am trying to get this going very soon.

I found in the forums how to setup a local login server, but I cannot get the source to compile. I have over thousand errors in VS13. I think there are issues in CMAKE, but I am new at this. I have spent the past 2 days on this forum reading and learning a lot. But I am at my wits end trying to get the source to compile to get the loginserver.exe and its associated files.

I am thinking the simple fix is the see if there is a precompiled login server that I can download before I lose my internet?

I am using windows 10 with the repack and underfoot. I have the 32 bit and 64bit version of Perl. Cmake is currently using the 64bit Perl.

Also my Cmake will not automatically get the dependencies from the source folder, I have to manually put it in each time. I still have errors in Cmake for example, I still have this error: Boost_DIR-NOTFOUND.

Here is a link to screenshots of my CMAKE. Let me know if I need to fix anything.

Another question...If I get this local server to work, can another computer connect to my login server if I am connected to a router? The router would not be on the internet. I have a friend who is interested in playing EQ also and if his laptop could connect to my local login server that would be great.

Sorry about this long post, just frustrated trying to get this to work. I hope someone can help me.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Default

I gave up on windows server and went to VMware using Debian Linux and got a local server up and running with local login server. Took some more reading from this site and I learned a lot. Now to check out EOC2Dev that I downloaded today.

Thanks
