Default libmysql.dll / zlib1.dll missing

Hello,

I am very new to this and am having problems trying to set up my server.
As far as I can tell everything has been done according to the setup guide, I have compiled everything ( I think ), My database is populated and as far as I can tell all the files are in the right place but....

When I run shared_memory.exe I get a message box saying libmysql.dll is missing, when I run world.exe I get a message for libmysql.dll and zlib1.dll missing.

I have a folder C:\EQ\EQEmuServer\shared it is empty (should it be?)
Also I have C:\EQ\Source\dependencies with everything from WindowsDependencies_x86.zip

I am wondering what I forgot to do or did wrong....

On the Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, and select Properties.

Next, select the Advanced tab from the System Properties menu that appears, and click the Environment Variables button.

Under System Variables, select Path, and then click the Edit button. The Edit System Variable dialogue should appear.

Place your cursor at the end of the text appearing in the space marked Variable Value

Enter: C:\EQ\Source\dependencies\libmysql

C:\EQ\Source\dependencies\zlib

Note, I extract all of my dependencies to that root folder, so if yours are under a subfolder, you will need to add the extra hop after dependencies\

Thank you for the quick reply,

The path was not the issue the files were just missing from the downloads as well as nowhere in the guide was there any reference to making paths specially for them. I solved the issue by simply doing a search on my pc for the 2 files and copying them over to the eqemuserver folder. libmysql.dll was in C:\EQ\Source\dependencies\mysql_x86\lib and zlib1.dll I found in C:\ProgramFiles\git\...

I hope this helps anyone else who runs in to this

There is an option ('12') in the updater script to download 3 dlls.

That missing dll is one of them.

You will need to run eqemu_update.pl manually to access the menu.
