Nagafen's Lair 9_5_16 copy (on server list)

Seen this on the server list with Owner - SirJames

It's kewl that all that work gets to be preserved, but considering when Maze
posted the links (for a short time) to download the db and quests, there is
probably many copies of this out there now. I grabbed one myself, not to use
it, but just poke around a bit and look at the good work done on it. But mostly,
I was just concerned whether the account and account_ip tables were cleared.
But all the info was still there. On the bright side, when someone gets the
server back up running, all the former players can look forward to their accounts
and toons still being there.

By the way Maze - NICE WORK!

I actually ran this on my lan here, checking out some of the scripts you had
going and yes, got some good things going on there, especially the buff bot.
I even logged on "Tunes" just to check out the gear you had on him.
He had some kind of permanent buff on him ? also had 90K Hps ? haha
I could of only wished for that on Live

#invuln doesn't allow you to get dps statistics from mobs to balance correctly.

soo, crank regen to 500k/s and a 500k/s hp buff

Well the server is being run by someone else now. You can see description here:

It indicates "minimal support". The new OP doesn't haven't much time for it.
Not really sure, but I think it was put up so former players could log on and play ?
I noticed it was down late last night, but I see it up again.

Yes it is up and running. A lot of the former players have moved on to the Storm Haven server. Personally, I want to keep play on Nagafen's Lair, so I brought the copy Maze gave me up.

Minimal support just means GM's won't be on very often. If you find a game breaking bug, just send me a P.M. and I will do my best to fix it.

The server itself is running on an 8gb / 2 core instance on Azure, it was a bit unstable at first, but has been very stable so far (I think mostly Azure's fault)

At this point I would say Classic - Luclin is very stable and working fine. I know there are some PoP issues.

I don't promise to fix anything.

I do promise to give 2+ weeks notification if I ever stop this server and to do my best to keep it stable. I will not ragequit and delete everything.

I will be instituting backups and auto-reboot on server crashes this week. I also think I'm going to post all of the scripts on github, so players can propose changes. I also hope to release a sanitized version of the database.

If for any reason I can not continue to run the server, proper notification will be given and full backups , code will be posted online.

Highly recommend this server that want to get their eq fix, but are limited on time that they can invest. GM or dev is on or available to help nearly all the time if needed. Also, 3boxing was just permitted, but you can easily progress to velious with just 1 or 2.

this one has been down for 3 days now with no warnings or announcements.their forums wouldn't let me post for some reason.
anybody know whats going on with this server?

I would like to recommend this server to anyone who likes true progression, I just love its system, blocking other expansions until you've killed all raid targets required to move on to the next Expac.

The leveling is not too long, nor too fast, it makes you take your time to appreciate the classical feeling of leveling in the old world and exploring zones with your small 2-3 box team

. You can still interact and get the help of other players that are quite friendly and helpful.

Unlike on Imperium where I used to play, it felt too easy to play through. Instead of having to go kill X targets to unlock the next expac, you only have to kill ONE boss, loot the key, and move on to the next content and so on. I just didn't like its system letting you power boosting through everything at once, instead of forcing you to explore and discover all the raid content this beautiful game has to offer.

Overall, this little gem of a server DEFINITELY deserves more players to try it out.
