Default Creating .nav files

I am curious about using this map_edit for navmesh creation. In this sample shown on wiki,
when you type a zone name in the box, (and click ok), what file is it supposed to be opening ?
The instructions on that wiki for creating a nav file looked pretty easy, but whenever I type a
zone name into that box, nothing happens, nothing opens. Just reverts to a blank grey screen.
If all I have is the zonename.map file, is it supposed to be opening that from the maps/base ?
I even tried putting a .map file right in the folder with the map_edit tool and still nothing.
Of course the project folder is full of zonename.navprj files but not for the zone.map I need to open,
lol. It's no big deal, I just thought I would poke around with this and see if I could learn
something new
