I finally graduated college and got a real grown-up job, so now that I'm not spending all of my weekends doing homework, I decided to get back into working on a server here. I just wanted to say that I was ecstatic when I discovered EoC. I used to use the GeorgeS tools but I always had errors from them not being updated to the current DB, and I feel like the EoC tools function similarly enough to the GeorgeS tools that there doesn't seem to be much of a learning curve. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to create such an awesome and easily accessible suite of tools; it has definitely made getting back into developing here way easier.

Any thoughts on when a standalone version will be coming we can host on our own servers? I'm running on AWS and apparently I need to connect to Mysql through an ssh connection so the current version doesn't work for me...

Regards,
Mg

Lots of time and energy put into bringing this to you guys, enjoy it!

Everything listed in the page is what's ready to go along with the development statuses. There is still a plan to open it up for external development and I am currently working on the commander interface which is not released as a part of this.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Your development tools are awesome Akkadius. Thank you for all the hard work you do.

One question: When logging on to a local copy of the site, what credentials is it looking for?

Hey guys! I'm trying to get the EOC working with my DB. I believe I've followed the instructions as listed here: http://eoc.akkadius.com/EOC2/

However when I try to login from http://eoc.akkadius.com/EOC2/login.php It won't connect.

I checked through Heidi and I DID create the user eoc_database_user with eoc_database_password for user at 142.44.176.142

I also have port 3306 opened in my router. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try?

When this happened to me I ended up checking my firewall, which was still blocking 3306 for some reason. I had to manually open that port on my firewall

Is this partition still active? I'd like to continue using this older revision of the EoC. Like when it was updated to Revision 501, 460 was still available.
