Gloomdeep & bard's 'Jaxon's Jig 'o Vigor' scribing error

Scroll reads as 'level 3' when on vendor and in inventory, yet when try to scribe it, a red-letter error message returned 'Cannot scribe that until level 255'. Scroll stays in hand (on mouse pointer), cannot click on vendor or others, cannot drop the scroll, cannot click anything else, cannot return to inventory, etc.

To correct the problem, I logged out of game the first time, then exited out of game the next. On re-log, scroll stays on mouse pointer (didn't close out the client, if that matters) tho' can be placed back in inventory / sold to vendor, etc.
