Default Crashing while zoning

Sometimes when I zone, and only some zones, I will crash when I try to go there, and when I log back onto the server, it won't let me back in until I have my character moved out of that zone. I have read most of the other zone crashing posts, and none of the solutions have worked. It's a problem with my client, I know, and I just did a reinstall not too long ago, and that didn't help any. Sony tells me my sound is borked and that's the problem, but the thing is this: My sound does not work and hasn't for awhile. I still have my sound card installed, but I took it out and used integrated sound to see if it fixed it. Nope. The sound is still jacked, and I can't uninstall it, because I can't get into the System icon on my Control Panel. I double click on it, and nothing happens. Sorry for going so off topic, but I really would appreciate some help if possible.

my first question would be are you useing zonelines or #zone..if useing #zone have you patched it with the update i put in the world builder forum?

as far as the sound goes..check your dir for a file called nosound.txt.. if there delete it.

I am using #zone, but I don't know if we have the patch or not, I'm not the host. Zonelines work perfect, so that must be the reason. Thanks.
