Default Changing Base Stats

I have a question. I'm wanting to do a couple of things, or just be able to do one.

First off, i want to increase the stats the characters have, like the base stats. I was wondering how this might be accomplished.

Second, i wanted to be able to give newbie characters more stats when they start. IO, i want to give them say 100 of each stat. Is there a way to make it so that the characters start with more or less?

If you don't understand the question (cause i'm half a alseep and can barely understand myself) please say so, i'll fix it tomarrow. Thanks for the help.

Theres no way to give people more stat points to spend or increase the ammount that shows up before points are spent because this is hard coded into the client. You can however add stats onto them in the method that takes their created character and saves it for the first time. There is no way to have them choose what stat gets added though.

Though i'm not sure at all, isn't it possible to change world.exe and recompile? I'm not sure, but could anyone back this up?

If not, I'd suggest using Perl quests, in the starting zone of all classes/races, or add the same NPC to each zone.

Good luck!

Ok, that last tip was a good one. I'll post in the quests section about that. But, i was more along the lines of thinking how to edit them in MYSQL-Front or somethign like that. Like, base stats, ex. Strength, Wisdom, etc. I don't necessarily want them to have to pick what stats they add their extra points to, or to even involve the client, i'm just more curious as to how to change them DB wise. Like, for the purpose of a reward or just to play around with. I know items can help, but i'd actually like to pump them past the like 305 limit, if its possible to exceed the stat cap outside of AA's.

The server actually doesn't implement the stat limit at all. You can equip all kinds of uber items and the client will max the stats at 305 when it displays it, but if you do #showstats on yourself they will keep going higher. For example one of my characters on Scorpious2k has a max stat of 630 because thats the max at level 130 with all the AAs that increase max and thats what the client shows. But when I do #showstats on myself several of my stats go up to 950. And check out the code for the #setstat command for how to raise up a stat as a reward.
