do you use luclin models?
When i saw my halfling after luclin came out, i swear it was the fugliest thing ive ever seen. but that didnt stop me from using them. i tried it out. customized my halfling to look the least fugly possible, but nomatter what it didnt look like what a halfling of norrath should look like. and then i realized i couldnt cross my legs sitting down, there were no racial animations, and ogre's no longer had the funniest dance move in the universe, and dwarfs did some super flip instead of a roll, i swithced it all back. i think what really got to me was the new animations. the old ones were really fluid, they just have a more natural smoother look to them. i see your guys's video's using the new models and i cringe. they just look so out of place. i thought maybe i was to harsh on them, so i logged on my live account with luclin models activated, and i quit before i even got in-game. as soon as i saw my halfling's luclin look i exited out, it was all i needed to see. then i think about the fact that that is how most people in-game see me, and ist sucks. i wish if i used old models, everyone saw me using old models, that would rock

I like the old ogre/troll/iksar/halfling graphics. The rest are better though imo.
Biggest thing I hated about the new iksars is they don't have that funny squat when they med, and they don't have that neat swim animation.
The luclin models helped barbarians out quite abit though. I hated there old model look.

iksar and vah shir only good ones some of the other ones are pretty good but i like the old ones better. troll / ogre are horrible. i also like the old iksar, but the new one makes them look more tougher and more detailed

I refuse to recognize their existence.
This thread is a paradox.

EQ beyond Velious should never have come into existence.

I disagree, PoP is my favorite expansion.
(Cept I got my own EQ acct. when LoY first came out, so I never saw the days before...).

My only problem with POP is it requires you to be in *insert top 4 or 5 guilds of your servers* to be able to actually use most of them. Same problem you see with Gates of Discord. In my opinion the whole planar progression quest requires way too much time. Not only that, but it was extreamely picky about how you did it. I can't count how many times I seen people get screwed out of a flag cause they went LD at the wrong time, or somebody hit hail twice on a planar projection, etc. And unless you was in a guild that required you to attend every raid, and basically devote your life to the game you could forget about getting far in the pp quest.

Nah, there are only 5 PoP zones that aren't attainable by most guilds. I've been playing since EQ Classic, and I agree, the game is completely different now... But it has pros and cons, like EQ always had. The thing I miss the most are the boats. That was fantasy to me, having to take boats around. Selling your things in a tunnel near a Shady Swashbuckler... Fighting for a spot in Orc and Derv groups, lol. Oasis was the place to be. So much has changed, but some things are better changed.
