Default Forum error.....

Hmmm, not sure where else to post this, but it is about something on this forum, not a bug in the server....

since the reported server move, I am getting this error when trying to submit a post:

Quote:
Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

DEBUG MODE

Line : 164
File : /home/httpd/vhosts/eqemulator.net/httpdocs/forums/includes/smtp.php
I dont get it EVERY time mind you, but probably 3/4 of the time....

FYI lethal,

this is specifically caused by whatever smtp server the forum is trying to send its mail through not having the outgoing IP address of the machine running the forums in its relay list.
This is a qmail error, and theres various ways that people implement these relay lists. The most common way is with a cdb database which is read by tcpserver which sets an environmental variable to tell qmail to allow relaying from that source address...

aka.. let krusher know.
