Default get a error when try to log in

when i try to log in 5.8 it say invalid pass and when i cheack eqhost it changes to this
[LoginServer]
Host=xp-smitchell:7308
why dose that happen?
i patch 9/11

i get the exact same thing :(

fixed it.

[LoginServer]
Host=newlogin1.eqemulator.net:5994

found that i had an extra ] in the original and then it changed. i deleted everything and put this line in

[LoginServer]
Host=newlogin1.eqemulator.net:5994

and it worked. hope that helps.

by the way, the loginserver i used was cut and pasted from this site. :( cant remember what post though, must of been a main post.

after you change your host file make it read only. That should fix that problem.

Write protecting eqhost.txt doesn't work, or it doesn't in my case.

The write protect works with EQW, not with the eq patcher, my mistake.
