Default Scribing spells leads to many problems

I /bugged this ingame on the official server, but I'm not sure if that actually goes anywhere, so I'm putting as much as I can remember here.

Server: Official EMU server - 0.5.5 DR1
Client: EQ+RoK patched current after the GoD release, but I downloaded everything EXCEPT the GoD stuff in Advanced on the EQ Patcher.

To repro: Create Dwarven Cleric, enter game.
Open Spellbook.
Open Inventory.
Click spell scroll, click slot on page 1.

Effect: Purple progress bar for scribing behaves normally, but when it finishes, things get "hung" up.

-Spell icon does not appear in Spellbook
-Spells hotkey(6) results in "You cannot use that command at this time..."
-Cannot target PCs or NPCs(including yourself) with the mouse - F7 works for PCs, F8 works for NPCs, but F1 does NOT work for self.
-Cannot pick up anything else from Inventory
-Cannot use "I" key to open inventory - must use /inventory chat command (other single and double key shortcuts seem to work)

I know there's more, but I can't recall anything else - this all stems from the "failed" attempt to scribe a spell like you would on the Live server - as opposed to using the #scribespells command.

In fact, intervening with #scribespells 1 seems to break you out of the "hung" state.

I can reproduce this at will, including the after effects that seem like they shouldn't be tied to this.

I was playing on Scorpious 2k server a little while ago tonight and this bug has not happened to me, but it happened to serveral people who were complaining about it while I was on. One person could not scribe agian until they zoned and the other could not scribe again until the logged out and back in.

Please just make a new post next time instead of bumping an old one. Sometimes people bump old posts for odd reasons and most people will ignore them. This is pretty important and deserves its own thread since it's a current bug.
