Default 0.6.0-DR1 : Starting Location for Dark Elf error

When starting a Dark Elf character , everything is as normal through creation and then once the character has initially zoned into the world there is a problem.

It displays you as being in Neriak Thrid Gate once loaded , however all that is around you is a gray box room , with the text "Teleport Co" and then some co-ordinates on the walls.

how can i fix this , if its an error with my DB? or if its some other issue?

thanks to any who can help , i'm close to being error free

I had the same problem last night. I ended up exporting the character_ table from the database, copy and pasting the location of a character who was in a sensible place (the bank in PoK) into the lines for the Dark Elf characters, and then importing the modified table. Once they were out of the initial creation points I could run around in Neriak with no problems.

Both Neriak Commons (e.g. for Mages/Wizards, etc) and Third Gate have bad start points for new characters, whether it's in the server or the database.

All start zones are fixed in classic db if you source classic_fix.zip from http://www.peqserver.com
