Default Temple of Droga Zone in PEQ_Kunark_Latest DB

Hello just thought I would point out that the Temple of Droga zone in the PEQ_Kunark DB running on 6.0 DR2 Linux has severe lag problems. For some reason when in this zone it can take 5 to 10 or more minutes to get a CON back about a monster or even to attack or do anything really.. I typed in #zone sebilis from in droga like 15 minutes ago and I'm still waiting for it to zone me out lol

Just tried it myself in the latest Win32 DR2 compile with the PEQ_Kunark database and all seems normal; no lag at all.

I'm running the client on a seperate machine from the server, though, so that could be helping me somewhat.

Aye I am running my server on a deciated linux redhat 9 server, not the same box my client is on. Weird.. All the other zones I have checked so far seem fine to me, but for some reason on my server Temple of Droga is always persistently laggy and unplayable. I'll keep playing around with it and see what I can change. Maybe it is just on my server.

This was just a small snippet of it too.. my ZONE log is filled with this... I guess this would be a faction issue?

I wouldn't call it a civil war so much as extreme suicidal tendancies... Each goblin is attacking itself, or rather casting Chloroplast on itself. Did you maybe tweak Chloroplast a little bit and mess it up somehow?

Hmmmm... Assuming the spell number in that log equates to the same thing as me typing "#cast 145", they're just casting Chloroplast.

I noticed the frogs in sebilis are doing the same thing too, but I dont have any lag issues in sebilis like I do in Droga so maybe this isnt the cause of the lag in Droga at all, but a seperate bug issue altogether.

I also noticed Firinia Vie zone has a lot of lag in it, although not as bad as Droga. My GM commands for example still respond promptly like I would expect, but the zone clearly looks as if it has lag in it. My netstat bar's last number jumps up to about 1500 in FV but it does as high as 5000 in Droga.

Woot, thanks for investigating! Keep checking this out, it's a serious bug that's all but required PEQTGC to take itself down until resolved. We think that some NPC's chaincasting spells might be part of the issue.

I just checked the npc_spells_entries for all records that had spell 145 in them, and only one of those records has the correct type 8 (buff). The other records have it as type 2 (heal). I don't think this is gonna solve the problem totally but should help, as the NPC's will cast chloro once and it'll stick, and they won't keep chaincasting it. Hopefully, that is.
