Definitely read the FAQ before getting into this. This is just one thing I read that would break the idea of using it as a server.

Quote:
Q: What happens when the advert is served? Do you lose what was on your screen? For instance, what would happen if you were playing a game or in the middle of an online shopping transaction?

A: 60 seconds prior to advertisements being shown, a warning screen will appear, the screen contains an accept and delay button. Each advert broadcast can be delayed for 5 minutes to enable the customers to either pause a game or complete on-line transactions.
Even if the computer continues to run without clicking accept, the logs they mention would most likely report failure to watch.

Luckily if you signed up for it, and change your mind, you have 14 days to do so.

They can't rely on the user being online to submit data. Some people don't have Internet and can have ordered it from a friend's house, or they may have lost Internet access after ordering the box.

I'm pretty sure they can rely on it if it's part of a contract. How else do they know for sure if you've been watching your adverts?

4) The PC must be connected to the internet at least once a month, and you must maintain an ISP (Broadband, 56k or ISDN) account throughout the term of the agreement.
