why would i make my own db if mr.piggy already put all this work into a classic db?

wouldnt it be alot more helpfull to help with his db?

It's people like you bbum that make me want to pull the plug on the WHOLE DB project, never satisfied, always complaining, but never REALLY doing anything to help better the project.
I've pulled the plug on the project before, and it wouldn't hurt me a bit to do it again, would just give me lots more free-time to do other things.
It's brainless idiots like you that me feel that all the time and effort we put into creating these DB's for public use are just a waste of our time.

If you don't like it, wait for somebody else to make one. But bashing it here isn't going to get you any brownie points with anybody.

I have the same stance as TCS. I am pretty fed up and annoyed by people like you. i've invested hour and hours and fucking HOURS collecting zones on live. ... ive collected 150+ myself, multiple times. and you dipshits just think you are entitled to use our work?

I'm seriously leaning to just keep it to ourselves and maybe release a classic+kunark at a later date.

Congrats retard, i'm sure everybody appreciates what you've done.

You're about to get eaten by Piggy unless you start respecting the work the MWnpcmovDB project/PEQ team has put into this. Don't think I'm afraid to ban you. I'd lose you years before I let you troll the people who actually contribute to the community like tcs and sotonin.

If this thread derails further it's getting pigged. As far as bbum goes, I hope we won't be seeing more of this in the future.

hmm..

asshat doesnt like the work but yet wants the db to use....

maybe the PEQ team should start charging for their databases.. over 550 downloads of our 5.7 db == shitload of bandwidth + site fees + server fees..

we havent asked for donations and keep putting out db's for everyone..

keep up the shit and see how long it takes to get a db, for free or for charge..

Q: what can i do to help? i mean if i post in the forums that orc pawns hit for way less than there suspoused to, and post how much there suspoused to hit for and how often etc will it get fixd? or if theres a npc that moves all wierd and not how its susposued to should i post about it? or should i collect info for that zone or something??

and do you need people to help recreating old world quests?

bbum,
Considering the fact that PEQ is our official test server for our DB creation, and it is still being finished (otherwise it would be released to public), you would do better following the proper channels and HELPING with the completion of it, Instead of complaining about this, that and the other thing.
All your complaining does is piss off the people who have spent countless hours getting the DB to the point it is at now.

bbum, I already tore your ass up in another thread, so there is no reason to do it here again. But don't think for a second I do not see what you are doing. In life, there are two ways to make something look better than it previously was:

1) Improve it
2) Discredit the competition

You seem to be doing #2, thinking that PEQ is trying to be a classic server.

Newsflash: PEQ is not trying to be a classic server, we only started with classic and will be releasing ALL expansions as time goes on.

So unpack the panties from your crack and relax, PEQ is not looking to take over the classic server world and you can go on happily doing whatever you do over there on your server.

Well that problem you describe is one of the last things we will tweak. The problem is, EQEMU doesnt use the same attack formulas as EQlive. We collect the mobs HP and DMG from cached allakhazam pages, so while the data is exactly as on live. when it's used in EQEMU they appear really weak. To correct this we'll have to increase HP and DMG across the board of all NPCS. But we need to figure out this formula that we want to do and test it to make sure we dont increase them TOO much.

You can post in the forums or join #NPCMOVDB and report problems.

and as Govt has said. yes. we DON"T want to take over as the best classic server out there.... We will be releasing kunark IMMEDIATELY after we release classic... so relax

govtcheese i realised it was only a test server after i had already started the thread, and did a search and found the projecteq website.. i didnt kno when i made the thread =(

and i wasnt tryin to discredit the competition.. i wanted to see if this was really a classic eq server, and then i wanted to help it grow if it was =(

Wouldn't it be a LOT better to just tweak the formula based on your findings? We should be able to compare actual hitting power in the emulator compared to what they should be hitting for.
