Default /tell Error

So... My GM account has 255 status right now, and my other accounts have 0. Basically Im the GM and they are the users. But They cant use the /tell command. It prints this error.

You do not have permission to tell someone right now.

I can /tell someone else from my GM account but not from any others. Anyone know how to fix this without setting all accounts to 255?

Check this value in the rule_values table:

Chat:GlobalChatLevelLimit

The default is 5. Try changing it to 0 and see if that helps. What happens is, a person can't send a tell or use /ooc until they're either over level 5 or over 24 hours played on the character. This was implemented as an anti-spam feature.

Also, can't you just raise the karma value in the accounts table if you're using PEQ?

I've seen that in the table... is there an intended use... or is it some catch all variable for whatever one can think of?
