Default Windows - Application Error

I bought a new laptop today and installed EQ, and did everything to play on Emu. When I attempt to run eq, I get a windows application error that states "The instruction at 0x1000f0ce referenced memory at 0xfffffffc. The memory could not be reached. Click OK to terminate the program" I had EQEmu running perfectly on my old computer, which ran Vista. My new laptop has Windows 7, not sure if this has anything to do with it however.

I have searched for solutions to this problem on google and in these forums, and have found several people having this issue; however, none of the solutions they found seem to work for me. I have tried reinstalling EQ, changing the compatibility, etc. but nothing is working.

If anyone knows of a solution or can help me out at all, it would be very much appreciated.

Are you playing on Storm Haven by chance? If so, you might want to see this thread:

If not, maybe checking the FAQ in my sig can help with your problems. Some laptops require certain drivers for the CPU to if it is a multi-core CPU in order to play EQEmu.

You might also want to try adding "WindowedMode=TRUE" to the [Defaults] header (the first section) of your eqclient.ini. That fixed it for me. If you're confused, just add "WindowedMode=TRUE" to all the sections of eqclient.ini.
