The only officially supported program to compile EQEmu is Visual C++. There are tutorials for using that with a free version of it in the tutorials forum. Other programs work but there is no support or tutorials for them.

im getting a fatal error when i am compiling World.exe with it, it says,

LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file "zlib.lib"
Error executing link.exe.

I put C:\eqemu\zlib and C:\eqemu\zlib\include and C:\eqemu\zlib\lib all in the include thing in options, still dun work. I also put C:\eqeny\zlib\lib on the library list thing too

if you have your project output set to debug, look in the debug folder which is in the same directory as the server.dsp, and such, if you have your complie set to release look in the release folder, you will find a bunch of .obj files in these folders as well, and among the you should find the exes.
